Description

MAGNASOLVE MGN – 3005 is a fiber-reinforced, self-adhesive, cold-applied waterproofing membrane made of SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) modified bitumen. It features a removable siliconized film on the underside and an aluminum foil surface on the top.

MAGNASOLVE MGN – 3005 is a high-performance vapor barrier and air barrier that can also be used in high-humidity areas such as swimming pools, kitchens, and bathrooms. It can be applied to metal, plastic, wood, or bitumen-based substrates, delivering excellent performance. The membrane should be used as part of a multi-layer insulation system.

Application Procedure

Surface Preparation

  • The application surface must be dry, clean, and free from materials that prevent adhesion, such as dust, oil, rust, and loose particles.
  • Highly absorbent surfaces like concrete, plaster, and particleboard must be primed with a bitumen-based primer.

Application Method

  1. Remove the protective film from MAGNASOLVE MGN – 3005 and press the self-adhesive side firmly onto the substrate.
  2. Ensure full contact with the surface by pressing down over the entire area.
  3. Use a silicone roller to ensure proper adhesion.
